Borderline-Syndrome – 2015, triptych – solventprinting on dibond, 240 x 80 x 2,5
Borderline syndrome in this work is a designation of the disease in our society of differentiation and exclusion. The triptych is an artistic exploration of this syndrome by means of shown painful crowns of different materials. These symbolize religious and spiritual barriers, fears and set of people (border) fences along with their reciprocal influences between them. The Christian symbol of Christ’s crucifixion is not found in the Islamic religion. Not Christ himself, according to the Koran a prophet of Muhammad, was killed, but an unknown person, a double. Jesus was called by God and taken up into heaven to protect him against the unbelievers. Also the existing mental and emotional borders come to expression , resulting from the fears to strangers and other faiths, as well as the re-narrowing down of open geographical zones within Europe. All these limits accommodate potential conflicts that must be overcome.
